We have funding to support two transitional fellowships each year from 1 August 2026. There is funding for eight fellowships over the duration of the first seven year phase of our centre.

The purpose of this funding is to support and develop outstanding early-career researchers transitioning to research independence in diabetes. It provides two years of salary, research consumables, and travel support.

It is expected that, by the end of the fellowship, award holders will secure a competitive intermediate (or equivalent) fellowship from an external funding agency.
